Another Big Weekend for BU!

It's Monday morning and it was another big weekend for the Huskies.

The football team remained unbeaten at 3-0 with a 24-0 win over Mercyhurst. After two big wins to start the season, Bloomsburg avoided the letdown with a win over the Lakers. Dan Latorre rushed for two scores and threw for another in the win. Defensively, Jon Ochs was all over the place and had three sacks, three forced fumbles and one other tackle for loss. He was named the PSAC East Defensive Player of the Week for his play. The Huskies start PSAC East play this week hosting Kutztown at 1 p.m. at Redman Stadium.

The men's soccer team also stayed unbeaten at 3-0-3 with a 3-2, OT win over Kutztown. Ryan Lafferty scored the gamewinner in OT on an assist from Tom Pfender. BU hosts East Stroudsburg on Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m.

The field hockey posted an 8-0 win over Millersville on Saturday. Jamie Vanartsdalen with three goals and two assists in the win. Bloomsburg is back in action on Tuesday at 5 p.m. hosting Mercyhurst.

The women's soccer team lost (the first BU team to lose this fall) to Kutztown 4-0 on Saturday. The Huskies, 4-1, are back in action hosting ESU on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.

The men's and women's tennis teams opened play this past weekend hosting the BU Invitational. Results can be found at www.buhuskies.com.
