It Was a Busy Tuesday

It was a busy sports night for Bloomsburg University so there is a lot to report this morning.

The field hockey team rebounded from its loss on Saturday to rout Kutztown, 7-1. Jamie Vanartsdalen with three more goals for the Huskies, while Maggey Bloskey added two. Jamie now has 98 career goals and is now in the top 15 in career points among all NCAA Divisions and is in the top 20 career goals scored among NCAA Divisions. Bloomsburg is now 9-1 on the year, 3-0 in the PSAC East.

The men's soccer team played a 0-0, 2 OT time with West Chester yesterday afternoon. The Huskies held the edge in shots on goal, but had to settle for the tie. Bloomsburg is 4-1-4 overall, 1-1-2 in the PSAC East.

The women's soccer team lost to West Chester by a 2-1 score. Bloomsburg falls to 6-2, 3-2 in the PSAC East.

The men's and women's tennis teams blew past East Stroudsburg last night. The women cruised to a 9-0 win and the men came up with an 8-1 victory. The women are now 3-1 on the year, while the men are 2-0.

After a busy night last night, things quiet down for the Huskies with no action today, tomorrow or Friday.

Oct. 11th...Military Appreciation Day at football. All families of active military personnel admitted free. We're also collecting items for our troops overseas.
Nov. 1st...Homecoming...kickoff at a special time...3:30 p.m. (We'll finish under the lights!)
