It's Another W for the Huskies
Written by Bloomsburg Sports Info on 6:26 AM
The BU field hockey team keeps rolling along. Last night it was another victory, this time by a 9-1 score, over Mercyhurst College. Samantha Kropa had three goals and two assists and Jamie Vanartsdalen added three goals to lead the Huskies to the win. Bloomsburg is now 7-0 and will host Mansfield on Thursday at 4 p.m.
Tonight the soccer teams will be in action at Sports Stadium taking on East Stroudsburg. Start time is 5:30 p.m. for the women and 7:30 p.m. for the men. In addition, the men's and women's tennis teams will also be in action tonight hosting the University of Scranton starting at 6 p.m.
A win for the men would be the 200th coaching victory (on the men's side) for coach Marty Coyne. He also has 223 wins as head coach of the women's team. While not up in the stratosphere of coaching victories of Jan Hutchinson, the 422 wins is still very significant and the second most of active coaches here at BU!
In case you have not heard the BU men's basketball team will play an exhibition game at Penn State on Nov. 9th at 2 p.m. While that alone is cause for excitement, it was reported yesterday in the Centre Daily Times newspaper that the game will also be aired on the Big 10 Network giving the Huskies nationwide exposure.
As usual we invite any comments to our daily blog.
Remember be HUSKY PROUD and come out and support the Huskies whenever you get a chance!
