The Weekend is Almost Here
Written by Bloomsburg Sports Info on 11:43 AM
Jump for joy! It's Friday....
With the weekend almost upon us, here is a look at what is happening in sports at BU!
LAST NIGHT
The baseball team dropped its opener last night to the Apprentice School 6-0. Today...we didn't even post this yet so this is fresh news...the Huskies beat East Stroudsburg 9-0 this morning. Carlos Medina had a solo homer for the Huskies. Still waiting on the final box score so I can't give you too many more details at this point. The Huskies play against 6 p.m. against Kutztown.
At the PSAC Swimming championships the Huskies John King set a school record in the 1000-free with a time of 9:50.29. That's 20 laps in the pool in under 10 minutes for you non-swim types. Action continues today through Sunday. We'll keep you updated on the web later tonight with an update.
TONIGHT
The wrestling team will be in action tonight hosting Rutgers. Start time is 7:30 p.m. This is the final match of the year before the EWL championships.
TOMORROW
The track teams will be at Susquehanna tomorrow for a meet, while the basketball teams visit Millersville. The women play at 1 p.m. and the men at 3 p.m.
That's it for now...enjoy the weekend. Be sure to bookmark the sports web site for the latest up to date info this weekend.
GO HUSKIES!!
