Softball Finally Got to Play

Here is the Huskies Update for Thursday, March 5.

SOFTBALL
After having the first six games of its season rained or snowed out, the softball team finally got to play yesterday and beat Queens University 4-3 and 2-1. Tara Reed pitched and hit the Huskies to a win in game one, while Shavaun Fisher fanned 14 in helping the Huskies get a win in game two. Bloomsburg is playing Catawba today after having Johnson C. Smith cancel its game.

BASEBALL
The Huskies banged out 18 hits yesterday to get a 6-3 win over St. Andrews Presbyterian. Tony Donofry went 4-5 in the game. The Huskies are playing Pfeiffer University today.

TENNIS
The Huskies women lost to Niagara on Tuesday by a 7-0 score (Division I scoring system used). The men's and women's teams are playing Mercyhurst today in Hilton Head as the spring trip nears an end.

PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
Fernando Perez was named the PSAC Men's Tennis Player of the Week and Kristen Bonito was named the PSAC East Women's Tennis Player of the Week for the period ending March 1.
