Here is the Huskies Update Daily Blog for Tuesday, Sept. 15.

There was no action yesterday for any Bloomsburg teams. The men's soccer team makes a trip to West Virginia today to take on Shepherd University. Game time is 4 p.m.

Swim coach Stu Marvin is going to be holding an alumni weekend Oct.2-4. There is a long list of activities planned for the day. Check out the list by going to this page.

Last year the football team was featured on Sports Fever TV a few times during the season. I've a few phone calls and e-mails wondering if the Huskies would be on any games this season. Well, good news! The Huskies will be featured twice on Sports Fever TV this season. On Oct. 10 at East Stroudsburg and on Oct. 24 home with Shippensburg. As we get closer, we'll publish a list of the channels that will be carrying the games.

The Liberty Mutual Coach of the Year program is back. We've asked for your support in the past and we ask for it again. VOTE FOR DANNY HALE! Go to the Coach of the Year Web Site to cast your ballot. Gets your family, friends, co-workers...anyone and everyone...to vote Danny Hale. He doesn't have an economic stimulus plan and can't help solve health care, but we need Danny Hale to come out on top! VOTE EACH DAY!!!

Join the BU Alumni office for a Pre-Game BBQ at Redman Stadium at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 26 before the Huskies take on C.W. Post. Kickoff is noon. Cost for adults is $10 and $5 for children 6-15. Children 5 and under - FREE!

* Event pricing does not include football game ticket. Tickets may be purchased at Redman Stadium: $10/adult; $5/student (12-18); children (11-under) FREE

Menu features hamburger BBQ, hot dogs, macaroni and cheese, potato chips, watermelon, assorted cookies and lemonade.

Huskies football fans who are not BU Alumni are welcome to sign up for this event by creating a guest login.

Our poll from last week...which PSAC East football game are you looking forward to seeing...is now closed. The winner with 67 percent of the vote was West Chester. A new poll will be posted shortly so be sure to vote on it.

In these tough economic times I know many families are struggling. But, if you are able, please keep the Huskies in mind. Your support of the Huskies Athletic Association is vital if BU is to remain a leader in the PSAC. We all enjoy bragging about the success the Huskies have had both now and in the past so consider joining the Huskies Athletic Association. Click here for the giving web site.
